Well the lead & feathers were flying today! What a big difference in hunting the high winds and not. This morning it was nice & calm. Here is a photo collage of today’s hunt. The single bird in field is one of mine that flew a good 200yds before hitting the ground. Then there’s the crow that got stuck in the V of a limb on the way down ;D I had to shoot him down. The one in front that looks like a truck hit it was from a “double tap” I put on one of my crippled. And yes, that's his head next to him. I didn’t try to do that, he jumped when he should of just sat there with his eyes closed Then I had to throw in a photo on my shell pile. I missed so many birds because I was tripping over them. I had a three crows coming in from my left & ended up with my first double for this year. My hunting buddy who was shooting well today, took the third one out for a triple thump! BTW his new Indian name….”Getting Better" Nice shooting buddy! For only getting out until 9, it was a lot of fun! Today’s hunt brings my count up to 16 & I have yet to step on VT soil hunting this year
