Coytoes = 1 Me = 0 Hit the farm with all the birds and bucks running around the other night. I second I remembered my shooting stick sitting on my bench, I should of turned around for it but I didn’t Once on the farm I headed for the same high point I sat on the other night. I had a slightly heavy wind blowing right in my face so I thought I had great set up. I set the caller up to my right about 75yds and once I started calling, my hopes sank. Even with the caller on high, I could barely hear so I wasn’t sure if I’d ever get anything out of the woods After maybe 15 minutes of running the pup distress, 200 yards in the lower corner I saw the coyote checking the field. It came running in on a steady trot right for the caller as I was scrambling for a good rest from the prone position. This is where I was cussing myself for not turning around for my shooting stick or had my bi-pod on the gun. I was letting it come in as close as I could knowing I didn’t have a great rest. At about 100 yards it must have seen me adjusting my shooting position or something because it took a hard right and started heading back to the tree line. It didn’t go 25 or 30yds before stopping to take another peak back giving me a slight quartering shot. I thought I was solid on my hold and shot but it must not have been. I missed to the right Next time
