Back a while ago when I used to coon hunt and take the fur, I'd take the whole coon over to "old man Harris", not far from Morse's Sporting Goods in Hillsboro. He puts up fur for everyone around and runs a big fur shed. He'd charge 4 bucks per coon, and he'd even ship them to Fur Harvester auctions and you'd see a check in the mail come spring. I stopped maybe 5 years ago...I just tree them and let them be these days. He was old then so hopefully he's still around and in good health. Try calling Morse's and see if he's still around...I bet they'd know. Does a real nice job with fur. Keep in mind it wouldn't be tanned....just skinned, fleshed, stretched, and dried..ready for market or tanning.
I always figured that if I was to keep one for myself as a wall hanger, I would have had Harris put it up and then I'd take it to a taxidermist and have them send it out with their shipment to a tannery. Probably would have to give them $20 bucks or something for their trouble.

If you have just a few I can help you out, but if you have volume, there is an older gentleman in Weare that is very cheap from what I hear. I havent met him, but I bet Coleman might know him. Might even be the guy mj mentioned.
FOr tanning, DO NOT send to a taxidermist. They mark it up beyond what is reasonable IMHO. Send it to Moyles Mink and Tanner
