The Turkey Shoot I was heading over to my last golf tournament (The Turkey Shoot) of the year at The Beav this morning. On the way over at 8:30, I looked out into a small overgrown field that I’ve seen deer in and found a cool surprise. This photo is with my phone but you still can see them or at least two of them. There was one coyote sitting in front of what appears to be a den with another one standing off the left grooming the sitter. Then to the right of them next to the pine (the real light colored spot) there was another coyote that appears to be chilling in the den entrance watching. Then on the first hole for us which was the seventh hole because of a shotgun start, three does were running across the fourth tee box heading for third green. As was made our way up the eighteenth hole, I spotted the local red fox I’ve named “Scrubby” over the years because his coat is always in rough shape. I tried to get my phone out but I wonderful golf buddy who’s in his 60’s had to act like 12yr old and tried to run him over with the golf cart. It wasn’t until we made the turn on the first hole he came back and I got this photo of him. He’s looking pretty good these days. Anyways, I think today was a good day and I didn’t even get in the woods…not even with my drives
