Is anyone going hunting for snowshoes in the Loudon NH area. I've been a few times with little luck. I don't have dogs and from what i hear that is the way to go for rabbits.

You really don't stand much of a chance without dogs. I'm in the same boat as you, so I don't really even try for them. I do know a guy with some nice dogs and hope to get out there with him this winter. The times I have got them on my own, it was because my bird dog happened to bump one towards me. I bet there's a ton of hare over in Loudon. I used to coon hunt over there and would see all the tracks in the snow.

Looks like a great time That's one of the things I have not done yet. Grew up and have been cottontail hunting for years but not snowshoe hare hunting. The closest I've been to any kind of snowshoe hares is seeing them in our VT camp while deer hunting.
