Many of you know me but for those that don’t, here we go. I’m a stay home dad to two boys. I’m from southern PA/MD and have been living in NH for 14 years now. I love anything and everything to do with hunting and fishing. I only wish I had more time to do it all. My real passion is chasing turkeys! It makes me really happy that I was born with golden horseshoe in my bottom. If I wasn’t lucky, I’m not sure what I’d do I’m the owner of Tooky River Calls which is all about mouth calls. Once my youngest son is in school full time…pot calls, crow calls and grunt tubes will be add to the line up. MKMGOBL

Left a message here but it's missing now... Seen this MKMGOBL come up on another web site I was on. Looks like your'e from New Hampshire. Went to look up the "Tooky River Calls" but the sight was down. Funny thing is I am MKMGOBL on other sites, also Backwater Bowfishin'... A buddy had seen a post and thought it was from me because of my MKMGOBL. I posted a pic from my license plates and tried to put up another on a award I won from the NWTF for this in a nation wide vanity plate contest I won quite a while back. Can't seem to post pictures on here? Maybe because I am not a member.

Hello "Guest" I am the site administrator and the one that deleted the post. I didn't get what I was saying but now that I understand, I'll answer your question. If you try and post up the link again or you can email it me at tookyrivercalls@comcast.net and I'll post it Better yet you could just join, it's free I remember seeing that NWTF issue of the license plate contest back in 1999 or 2000 and that is where I got the idea for username. I've been using MKMGOBL or MK-M-GOBL on many forums ever since I saw back it 1999 or 2000. Back when I started getting on the internet and forums I was using it and it was never taken. Even on several forums I'm on to this day, I still register it. There was a guy I inquired about trophy pins he made that changed his username to MKMGOBL which really messed up our accounts on that forum. The forums admin deleted his account and kept mine seeing I was registered user since 2001 and he took it in 2009 It's nice after 13+yrs to hear from the person that came up with it back in the photo contest....well unless you saw my reply to someone’s post on another forum asking, "how did you come up your username" or "what's the meaning of your username" which I’ve always commented and gave credit to seeing it in the NWTF photo contest article Actually, the first forum or chat board I was ever on was called Full Strut and I used another vanity plate that was in the same contest for my username. Any guesses?

I was living in Ohio at the time... I will email you a couple of pics. I am an absolute FANaddict when it come to turkey hunting, coming into my 24th year!

;D I almost did the LIMHNGR just 6 months ago in honor of my 2011 WV gobbler that indeed...was a limb hanger. If the guy told he saw MKMGOBL on another plate and you were in OH, it might of been me if he ever traveled around the Morgantown area, Pittsburgh or pretty much anywhere in the state of PA. So other than your plate in the contest, I've never seen it myself. I had it on my truck for several years until I started getting knuckleheads following me around scouting and showing up in place I hunted Now it hanging in my shed. FLYDWN was what I used and what I believe was in the plate contest. You did win that contest right? Anyways, the chat board username had to be 6 letters so your plate wouldn't cut it. It's pretty cool finally getting to chat after all the years of using MKMGOBL as a username to the person that put the idea out there. I hope you feel honored in way that your idea and the photo of your plate was used. I don't want to sound cocky or arrogant but I believe I've represented what the plate stands for pretty well...a true turkey FANaddict as well Hell for about the same amount of years too I got into it back in either 1988 or 89. Do you recall a special one time print magazine put out by Mossy Oak that had nothing but turkey hunting tips and advice? That magazine was like a bible to me seeing back the veteran turkey hunters were often as tight lipped as a lot of hens I ran into over the years. Getting information back then wasn't like it is now a days. Well again it was nice chatting with ya. You should join to the forum and keep us posted with your 2013 turkey season. Who knows, you might see some of the great birds our members putting down and want to travel to the northeast for a New England Dirt Nap Tour

I did indeed win that NWTF Contest! wasn't a "big" prize but more of an honor than anything... A license plate bracket, a NWTF sticker and the best was a certificate stating I was the unanimous choice of the judges. I have that framed on the wall and along with my copy of the issue. Sounds like you have done the name proud! I was living in Ohio in the Canton/Akron area right near PA and had made a few trips into PA as well with work. My guess is that was you, how about that . So I found out where my buddy seen the post, and get this... there is another MK M GOBL on IowaWhitetail.com. lol so I live right on the Wisconsin and Iowa border and that's why he thought it was me. When I went on google to look up this guy and I found yours by accident. Wonder if this guy had seen my plates as I hunt both states or if he seen them at Cabela's. I moved here in 2001 and he joined that forum in 2007 and shows his location as IL/IA. So dont' know how involved you are in the NWTF but maybe you know "Shawn Dickey" - District Field Supervisor Regional Director in that area. An old buddy of mine from WI here that helped me start the "State Line Strutters" Chapter of the NWTF in WI. Really sounds like you do this turkey thing like I do! Here's my 2013 line-up. Our Sportsman's Club hosts a "Learn to Hunt" for Spring Turkey on March 29th-31st, next is Youth Season on April 6th & 7th I have 3 of my buddies sons out for that, then WI season opens and I hunt with a good buddy and wife team, My tags comes up for 2nd season, during our 3rd season i head to the U.P. of MI with a buddy and then back in WI for 4th season where I have 2 tags and a friend from Nebraska coming out, her and my other buddies wife will be on that hunt with me, and then on to 5th season I have another tag and another buddy to hunt with, I then round out the year with 6th season tags and the fathers of the youth hunt boys coming out... thinking about 17 tags to fill this year I will send you another pic of what I call my "Top Ten" list. Good to talk to you too!
